Frequently asked questions
Plain answers about quotes, claims, billing and how an independent agency works.
Quotes and coverage
A captive agent represents one company. We are appointed with 14 carriers, so we compare coverage and price across all of them and recommend the best fit. If your renewal jumps, we can move you without you changing agents.
Most personal auto and home quotes are ready within one business day. Commercial quotes that need underwriting review typically take three to five business days.
No. Carriers pay us a commission that is built into the premium whether you buy direct or through an agent. You do not pay a fee for our advice or service.
For auto: driver license numbers, vehicle VINs and your current declarations page. For home: the address, year built, roof age and your current policy. We can work from a photo of your current policy.
Claims
For emergencies, call 911 first. Then report the claim to your carrier's 24/7 line, or call our claims line and we will file it with you. Either way, let us know so Kevin can follow the claim.
Sometimes. Small claims close to your deductible can cost more over time than they pay. Call us before filing and we will talk through the likely impact honestly.
Tell us. Our claims advocate reviews estimates, requests re-inspections and helps you document damage. Most policies also include an appraisal process for disputes.
Billing and policy service
Use the service center request form, call Andre's team, or email us. ID cards and certificates are usually sent within two business hours during the week.
Premiums are paid to your insurance carrier. The service center lists payment links and phone numbers for each carrier we work with.
Submit a policy change request or call the office. Most changes take effect the same day and we will confirm any premium change before it is made.
Yes. We coordinate the cancellation date with your new coverage so there is no gap, and we request any prorated refund owed to you.
